Julien Opie's work is very different to many Artist's work. He doesn't add much detail, just simple lines to show the face shape and where the mouth and nose are. I think the bright colours that he uses behind the faces, and the colour of the t-shirt, or the hair makes the piece stand out and makes it eye catching.I do like his work but I think they look better when there's a group of them, rather than just one. With the coloured background on a handful of them, they make each other stand out and makes you want to look at them for longer.
